F.A.Q

Q: What do I need to play?

A: A copy of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition (can be purchased via steam). Then you just follow the login instructions at the main page (to be updated when the server uploads).

Q: How does the game help me learn a language?

A: Through language exchange. You find a language-exchange partner who speaks your target language and studies the language you know, then you adventure together while teaching and helping each other.

Q: Is it text or voice?

Voice communication is highly encouraged and is the main concept behind language-exchange in this server. You can connect to the TeamSpeak server and see if whoever you're playing is also on TeamSpeak. You don't have to use the voice option in order to play and may opt only to text, but it's not recommended.

Q: I don't know my target language, but I want to learn it. Should I still use the server?

A: Absolutely. Though if you're a complete beginner it's also recommended you look up a grammar book and do basic exercises to get a fundamental familiarity with the language, but it shouldn't stop you from playing. This game is for all levels and all ages.

Q: How many languages the game support?

A: Currently English, Spanish and French. The reason the game supports only 3 languages is not to get too spread out at the beginning stages. In the future, more languages will be supported.

Q: How will I know what players speaks which language?

A:

The color of your clothing will indicate to other players which language you know:

English speakers: White Clothing

Spanish speakers: Yellow Clothing

French speakers: Blue Clothing

The color of your cloak will indicate to other players which language you're learning:

English learners: White Cloak

Spanish learners: Yellow Cloak

French learners: Blue Cloak

You may keep it hidden if you don't want other players to know, though it's not recommended.

Q: Any quests in the game or things that can be done without other players?

Of course. If you can't find the right partner, you can look for quests to complete on your own (some of them are language-related, some are not). The game also rewards you for word-items. Word-items are items that teach you a word that you can use once about 10 times to gain experience point. Words-items are spread about all over the gameworld.
